I don't really know how popular this site is nowadays, but what comes to amount of music here it's biggest one in finland...
And what comes to that if they play these artists on local radio's I think radios play (mostly) those same playlists everywhere but they really should check local artists here and play them. Why they don't do that, don't know.

There are some bands originating from mikseri.net that got played on local radio stations (Chorale and @Junkmail come to mind off the bat) but very few, and certainly not internationally famous bands. I'd say it's mostly hobbyists nowadays. Lately things seem to have quieted down here especially now when Soundcloud and Youtube and other sites like those have grown to be a popular way to promote one's music. But even if this is all independent artists, hobbyists and amateurs, there's still lots of really great stuff to be found.

Pyhimys, Steen1, Stam1na, there's lots of more, specially in hiphop allmost everyone have some past with this site.
