9th grade number was 8 because the teacher didn't like me. Latest english number was 4 (in scale 1-5) back in business school. Little bit more homework and I could have gotten 5, but I'm too lazy bastard to do homework.

6 courses of compulsory english and 1 optional course. All of them passed with the grade 8.
I also took part in the matriculation exams a month backwards, and managed to get C. I'll go and try to raise my grade to somewhere between M and L next spring.

Well... if my memory serves me right, it was 10 through grades 3 to 8 and dropped to 9 in the ninth grade. I have had four compulsory courses in upper secondary school and all of them I passed with 9.

In primary school I always had that solid 9, but somehow the final grade jumped up to 10. Well, it's definitely nothing to complain about. Now in secondary school my grade has been alternating between 9 and 10 -- apparently depending on the teacher. I'll be trying my luck with the matriculation examination (what a wonderful pair of words!) next spring. It better be L or E, or I'll sell my soul to Satan.

And let the record show, that it was only 2 points short of an L. But they raised the score limit from previous! I demand justice!

I kept getting tens until the last year of high school when most of my grades dropped like soap bars in jail due to general recklessness and such. I managed to score an L in my matriculation exam with a nice solid 99 points from my essay, though.

Actually in English they are grades printed on your school reports, not numbers
In senior high school all my English grades have been either nine or ten.

Can't make up your mind about what to put on, trousers or pants?
Ravana kirjoitti:
I'm half German, but still I find myself speaking Finnish every day, not some German-related language. Weird, huh?
No, it's not weird at all. If you say, you live in a country that isn't Germany or Finland, but is more related to Germany than Finland, and you speak Finnish every day with no apparent reason, that would be weird.
I'm quite fast at using the num-pad on my keyboard, but still I'm quite slow at writing... Life's so strange, don't you agree?
And what does this have to do with british-english vs american-english?
Ravana was too slow at thinking about cool metaphors with which to make Zitru look like a dumm-ass 14:14 30.11.2005
Yea.. Too slow, granny. Actually to be honest, you couldn't make me look like a dumb-ass. To punch a beaten man doesn't change anything.

In comprehensive school, it was a constant 10. If I remember correctly, I had one 9 though.
In high school, my grades have all been 9, mostly because my teachers are very hesitant to give out any 10's, and I've failed to complete some of the assignments they give me (mostly due to the fact that I'm a lazy POS). However, all the tests I've done have resulted in a 10.
I'm expecting a Laudatur as soon as I get to do the final exams.
For the record, I (rather ironically) suck at everything else than English. Well, except music.
