I also took part in the matriculation exams a month backwards, and managed to get C. I'll go and try to raise my grade to somewhere between M and L next spring.
My Latin is a bit rusty, but C = 100, M = 1000, L = 50, right?
That matriculation exam scale should really be changed into something from the 21st century, like A-F or whatever.
But to answer the question: got laudanum (the old, easy kind) in the matriculation exam. Don't really remember the grades before that.

Oh, but.. Cum laude aprobatur, M-something and Laudatur, not roman numbers... And there's even E for Eximia or something nowadays...
Yes, the topic of this thread contains a slight error, since it's not numbers they talk about, but grades.
And for the casual offtopic:
The British also have their grades indicated by A to D and F for failed, not by numbers..

They come from latin. I don't think that my translation are very good, but you might get the idea.
improbatur, Faild
approbatur, Passed
lubenter approbatur, Passed with pleasure
cum laude approbatur, Passed with thanks
magna cum laude approbatur, Thankfully passed
Eximia cum laude approbatur, Very thankfully passed
laudatur, Praisworthy

Sounds good. Except for that slip to Finnish language there..
For all you who don't understand Finnish (yes, you there in the back), arvosanana = as a grade or as and indicator, where 'arvosana' is the actual number or letter that represents the quality, and that 'na' in the end is the 'as a/an'.
...and there was nobody who I could have made interested...

My Inglish grade has been alternating between 9 and 10 depending on how badly I have behaved during the English lessons. Unfortunately I got only an E from the matriculation exams because I was a reckless youth who didn't care to prepare for the Englisch exam.
But seriously, I actually had a solid ten for a very long time, but then one goddam bitch dared to lower it into a lowly nine although it was clear that I could use my classmates as a symbolical replacement for toilet tissue during the English lessons. I'll never forgive her for what she has done to me. Never!
Luckily, I later met a more understanding person who raised my desecrated Englesh grade back to its righteous glory.

Proper preparation by reading the Hitchhicker's Guide to Galaxy resulted in eximia some years ago, but looking back I can only wonder as I've really learned to use the language only afterwards. Then again, I probably couldn't grade that high anymore.

Oh, you know, it's just my severe case of dyslexia that inhibits me from spelling the word "you-know-what" correctly in more than fifty percent of the cases. Too bad actually, isn't it...

How cool is that?

Usually, its 9. When I read English text, I understand it automatically, but I sometimes have some troubles with sentences when I'm speaking English. So, I think I'm not so good at speaking English (yet), but I understand it pretty well.

My english grade was...after graduating from the International Baccalaureatte programme 6 out of 7. In primary school I had a mean average of 9.8 from the six years of study.
And now - now I have a bunch of papers stating that I'm basically bilingual, having written English as an A-level language (which means native speaker level).
So horrayh for me

My english number was a 9 at 9th grade. Last year it was 5 (0-5 grading scale) but this year it was 1 because of an goddamn dumb substitute teacher Though today was a test in english ("English At Work" - course), which went pretty fine by me. Second best result (24 points out of 35) in class, I think... which was nice.

Before the upper secondary school shit my English was 10. I think it was 9 after it.
But the weirdest thing of all was, that I learned English by myself when I was about 6 or something, by reading the study books of my older sisters. And in my family, we only speak Finnish and nothing else. Maybe it's because our parents don't recognize a single word in any other language. Besides "Yes" and "No".
I made my first English heay rock song when I was 8. God, it was poor.
