Blog entry 5.3.2007

We have more or less recovered from a long weekend, which for us started as soon as Thursday with a surprise gig at Tavastia club in Helsinki. We supported the famous Waltari, and hereby wish to thank them once more for this great opportunity to play at the most legendary rock club in Helsinki.

The gig went well regarding the short notice - we received the gig confirmation last Monday, so we spent the first half of the week rehearsing the new songs we had never played live before. The new stuff rocks a lot more than the old songs, and are therefore fun to play - here's hoping for new gigs soon!

About half of us also contributed in the organizing of Piru-klubi on Saturday at Hevimesta, at which we didn't play ourselves but enjoyed the live sets of Throes of Dawn, Fragile Hollow and Fourpointsix.

This week looks just as busy, we're recording another demo of the new songs to confirm the record companies we have already started to speak with, and we plan to have it finished, at least the recordings, by the end
of the week. We will be posting at least clips from the new material on our website, of course. Two more songs will be recorded now, in addition to the three slightly older ones you can find at the media-section.

We're hoping to get a lot done this week, so that maybe next week could bring us some answers about the future and the time tables of the recording of the second album. But we'll know more in a few days, and will be updating the blog as soon as we know something new!

In addition to the gig nothing dramatic happened, no one broke any bones this time, even at the sound check (last time I broke my foot by jumping rope with the microphone wire and had to walk around with crutches for 6 weeks), although a bit mystically J's old taekwondo pass from somewhere around 1992 appeared in Beepo's closet 20 kilometres from each other's apartments - a secret case of cleptomania?
