Historia: Soma Kick was founded in Helsinki, Finland late 2008. The members had been playing together before and decided to form a band in the vein of 60's and 70's rock with a modern touch. The first demo "Yellowstone Groove" was recorded around new year 2010, offering a mixture of psychedelic, progressive and heavy rock elements. During summer 2010 Soma Kick added a new member to its line up: Jyty on percussion. They also played their first two shows during the same year's autumn. Soma Kick's second demo "The Dawning of Light" was recorded at Seawolf studios by Perttu Kurttila during january and february 2011. The Dawning of Light features three songs, each showing a different angle of Soma Kick.
