We'll start this journey with a speedy song. Leans once again more to the thrash genre.
To me this always feels like Rammstein meeting sludge. Nothing more to say here.
From thrash and Rammstein we'll get to a more doom-like atmosphere. Atleast until the chorus hits.
The first song I think can be called sludge on this package. Lyrics will go through the whole experience of being a human, as I feel the title pretty much sums it up. And in this history plays a key role since we've learned nothing.
The tiebreaker in a way, being propably the most melodic song before the end. Also in my opinion this song has the best outro out of them all.
This song was inspired by the egyptian scale which is one of the few I know. The other half of inspiration being the history of Egypt.
This song builds around one of my oldest riffs I still remember today. I've tried many times to get a song out of it and didn't succeed until now.
Some nice riffs and some weird ones. You put them together and boom! You have a song.
This is one old song that has been lying on my computer propably since 2011 or 2012. It started as a SOAD-ripoff (think of Aerials). But through some remake and feedback it molded into it's final form that luckily is somewhat far from what it was in the beginning.
This is far from anything I've done for this project so far and that was the point. I wanted to make an epic sludge song, but I think the sludge didn't get on this train. But since this was going to be my tribute to Varian Wrynn, it needed more of the epicness than sludge, so the result is what it is. I think it's a perfect way to end this package as it really stands out.
The first song I started working on, the one from where it all started. The intro riff is a bit too much from Crowbar's song "Lasting Dose", but I think I still got it to sound like my own. The name came after I started to think the tool, crowbar.
This one is more of my own composition in a way, but still in the vein of Crowbar I think.
Ok, this is a bit speedy for being sludge, but oh well. Still sounds like it.
My ISIS-song, har har har! This was actually first coming out as a single nu-metal song. I had all the riffs down already, but the tempo didn't work out in MPT, so I had to speed it up a little. The character changed somewhat, so I took the song to be part of this project instead.
Sludgethrash, that's what this pretty much is musicwise. Legacy of hatred = the legacy of Hitler.
To me this feels a bit different. There is some peculiar riffs going on and then the main thing that truly makes this worth the name... The death metal-like chorus. But oh well, I just make them as they come to me. Do not, I repeat; do NOT kill the messenger here!
My "Type O Negative". Initially some of these riffs were so rip-off that I'm ashamed of myself, but luckily they became something else. Shows once again my undying love for guitar harmonies.
Well well well, what do we have here? Oh look, guitar harmonies!
This song is heavily influenced by Sólstafir and especially their song "Fjara". It takes some twists and turns towards the chorus though.
