On the foundations of Cresdence rises a new force... A metallic scream, a thunderous blaze of guitars, bass and drums... This is Pray of North!!!
History:
This story had its starting beats in the beginning of the year 2006. This was when a tale of a band called Cresdence began with exactly the same line-up as Pray of North has today. One could really say that we're getting back to the roots, actually. Not musically, but as a team. As brothers. With this line-up, Cresdence made it to record one short album (NeverDrown) in 2006, write some 10-12 songs in total, and throw a few gigs towards the end of the year. The beginning of January 2007, and the Epiphany Torment Party to be exact, turned out to be a turning point after which the separation between vocalist Tuomo ”Jaymz” Vänskä and the rest of the band was going to happen. This was due to the vocalist's at-the-time severe friendship with King Alcohol and other issues in his personal life. Cresdence however returned to new musical challenges by recruiting their recording man/producer, Juuso Tiirakari behind the microphone to growl and scream. The band did come out with a decent amount of material in a few years, a nice list of gigs here and there, and put out a real, ”artist pays”-type full length album (Materia, 2011). The band also changed language of their material from English to Finnish along the way. In the meantime mr. Vänskä had gathered enough courage to confess his illness and unhappy love towards alcohol, and luckily sought help to his problem. He quit using alcohol in the summer of 2011. After a long silence Tune and Jaymz started to keep contact again, as the real friendship had never gone to pass away along the years. The story of Cresdence was eventually decided to be officially put to an end on December 19th 2012, perhaps due to musical differences between the new vocalist Juuso and the rest of the band. There was also a certain kind of inner fire dying out within the band. Some time went by. In the year 2013 Tune and Jaymz occasionally flashed out an idea of a new project in their talks. This project was meant to start relatively soon, and there was also an idea of including Tuomo's dear wife Nitte in the band, doing female vocals. Time however went on, and while Tune was stressed with his daytime job, material didn't come out and things prolonged. In the fall of 2014 Tune finally managed to grab himself by the neck and was able to start working with the new music project. It didn't take too long, until the rest of the old Cresdence team (Ju$alaut, Kultasormi and BacKick) were ready to come out and play. Thus PRAY OF NORTH was officially born on December 20th 2014. Almost exactly two years after Cresdence was buried. :) Now, it's time to say HELL YEAH again!!!

Some preview of things to come... In this pre-demo we still have computer-made drums and so on, but you'll get the idea. The official track will be something humongously grand.
