History: The band was born when Jani and Visa started playing some Metallica and Iron Maiden cover songs together in fall 2008. Few weeks after Samuli joined the band and they started rehearsing songs like "Master Of Puppets" and "Aces High". So now there were 2 guitars and b.ass+ 1 dude was learning to play and sing at the same time. The only missing instrument was drums, and of course drummer ;) Jani, Visa and Samuli started looking for a drummer and very soon they found him from internet, Roope was born!! (to be wild). So now there were 4 motherfuckers in the same fucking band in the same fucking planet. Soon after they started rehearsing in the basement of Harjunalusta playing songs like "Harvester Of Sorrow"(language of the mad) and "Seek & Destroy". They continued jamming together for the next several months and tried to compose their own songs, but it didn't work. Samuli was tired of playing metal and he was sometimes also pretty agressive. He also looked like doesn't give a shit about the band, so it was he's time to leave the band, but luckily there is no grudge between them and they are still good friends with him. So now there was 3 dudes playing with each other, looking for a new guitar player. Jani and Visa started "testing" their good friend Atte, who was surprisefully a guitar player. After testing him for a couple of months Jani and Visa decided that he is officially their new guitar player. So now there were Jani on b.ass, Visa on vocals and lead/rhythm guitar, Roope on drums and Atte on lead/rhythm guitar. After rehearsing Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne cover songs, the 4 horsemen started looking for a gig. It didn't take much time before Jani was on the internet (once again) and found a notification that there is a small event in Lahti where would be a chance to play a gig in front of a living audience. (:O) When Jani and Visa went to sign up for a gig, there was this huge mature woman waiting for them (just business :DD). They signed up and walked away. Now they had a gig, but no band(name). Finally Jani soon after that came up with the name Odeon, and the rest is history (:D). Odeon started rehearsing the songs for the event and after a couple of weeks it was time to go playing some PURE FUCKING METAL! In May 8th 2009 Odeon played at the youth center Profiili with another band called Wasted Reverence. The set list was: The Four Horsemen, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Aces High, Crazy Train, Harvester Of Sorrow, Orion/Master Of Puppets and Seek & Destroy. It came up pretty good for a first gig, few mistakes were made but it was the fucking last time! First Visa and Roope were pretty angry after the show because they are couple of perfectionists, even one little mistake and they go nuts (trust me, i know). Odeon was on break (due to a lack of rehearsing place) till August and wrote some of their own songs. Nowadays they have a new rehearsing place which is next to Kasisali. The band started to put together own material and it seems that in October debut demo should come out. Next gigs will be played in the beginning of year 2010 whit a couple of their new own songs.
