Frostborn was formed 1999 by guitar player Jarmo Mäkinen and drummer Anssi Herkkola in Tampere, Finland. During autumn 2001 begun the recordings

for the bands first demo Far away from Home(2002).

Frostborn played 2002 and 2003 several gigs and released its second demo-Cd "Only the strong will survive"(2003).



2004 the bands activity was shaken by several line-up changes, leaving behind just Jarmo and Alois from the original members, with Anssi as a session-player

and songwriter. Several gigs had to be cancelled during the period of drawbacks and the recordings of the new demo Unbound were delayed for several times.



Anyway, female vocalist Nia, drummer John Aspen and keyboard-player Jouko Meronen found little by little to the ranks of Frostborn. The work on the new

demo could be continued featuring the new members. Now Frostborn presents also a renewed website and releases "Unbound" during September 2004.



Frostborn is eager to hit the stage later this year to proof the capabilities of its fresh blood! While we kick ass, winter will embrace the dark north.
