Historia:
Soul Sound Day was a thrash metal band from Jyväskylä, the small capital of Central Finland area, with influences ranging from punk rock to death metal. Pushing the boundaries of traditional thrash metal to challenge the listener to let go of the tight genre definitions, Soul Sound Day represented a new progressive school of thrash metal. Though that progressiveness was always more of the cognitive kind.
The band was originally formed in 2001 and through line-up changes (such as bass player joining and singer leaving) the steady three-piece unit Soul Sound Day was known as, was the line-up from 2005 onwards.
Soul Sound Day released three EPs: 'Better Days' (2004), the hot as hell 'Tomorrow The World' (2006) and the third and last, the one entitled after Woody Guthrie's legendary slogan, 'This Machine Kills Fascists' (2008).
With the release of the new EP the band decided to disband. A huge thank you to everyone who came to the shows, organized shows, bought the CDs or simply liked what we did. It all meant a lot!
Thanks, friends
