History:
Sleezy Fox was formed in the early '80s by ex-Alfa guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Alf deFox and vocalist/keyboardist/sex symbol/frontman Zack B.Sexual who had achieved cult-status in the fast-rising glamrock scene of L.A. by singing Van Halen and Michael Bolton covers. The line-up was completed when notorious drummer Jack "Drunken Beast" Hammel joined the group in the May of 1981. Similar to the power pop/arena hard rock style of Journey with polished touch of L.A. glamrock, Sleezy Fox's 1984 self-titled debut met with marginal success, spawning the top 40 hit single "Illusion Of Love". Sleezy Fox went on to open for REO Speedwagon, Styx and Foreigner before headlining a tour of their own in Japan(supported by Krokus and Keel). Sleezy Fox's second release, ambitious double theme album "Escape From The Eclipse", came out in 1986, but it suffered from lack of promotion and tour support and after that the band quietly disbanded. The year 2005 promises to be the return to big-time for Sleezy Fox as the band will release a follow-up single to "Rock ´N` Roll Champions" in the April/May of 2005. It will be re-mixed version of the bands break-through hit "Illusion of Love" and includes guest-backing vocals by Don Dokken!
