Alkuvuodesta 2015. Laulaja kitaristi Mati bändeistä Klamor ja Face Control. Klamorin basisti Niko ja Face Controlin rumpali Pekko päättivät muiden projektien hiljetessä lyödä hynttyyt yhteen ja luoda jotain järisyttävää. Muutama kuukausi myöhemmin ensimmäiset biisit oli kasassa ja nimi oli heitetty pöydälle. Vielä muutama kuukausi siitä, nimi oli päätetty ja kaksi keikkaa oli buukattu alle. Homma näytti olevan hoidossa ja täydessä vauhdissa. Näin alkoi MoonstruXin tarina.
