From a war
we were walking tall
towards home
As a storm rose
and we got lost in the night
We were ambushed
by a group
of marauders

The battle was raging on
our men breaking enemy bones
as heavens
spit lightning
at our horde
The wind blew
strong
and heaven roared

Under the luminous stars
til victory we fight
we grab the handles
of our swords
I can´t stop wondering
if I will live til dawn

The remaining warriors
were
on the run
Some of us
shooting
them down for fun
As the dawn
was finally breaking

A hundred corpses
lying on the ground
We were using
them
to feed our hounds
But our commander said
"Do not clean up,
just let the bastards rot!"

Under the fading stars
til victory we fought
We grabbed the handles
of our swords
At last I stopped wondering
if I would live til dawn
