Give too much of yourself
And your wings get burned
In a churning spiral
Too fast to control
Kindness may not pay
In this dismal world
When all becomes too much
No choice but to halt
I can not know your pain
Day of black, the devil's on the wall
Can only hope for time to quickly pass by
So that the wounds may heal
On burned wings the kind soul has to fall
Hate the world for doing this but it wouldn't help
Maybe there is something for each of us to learn
And you know you never were alone
But nothing bad in this is permanent
Strength returns and you may fly again
Sins of the enemies belong to the past
Melted away by the sun
