Something strange has happened
Suddenly I'm not the same
I'm just not sure if I could give this stranger name
It's something, it's something so strange
Bear with me, I'm thinking it out, could it be--it is me

Happy is a place I haven't been yet
I believe it's somewhere I'll be visiting soon
With the right shoes on my feet, I'm willing to bet
I could even make it there this afternoon
So I'm packing up the past and dumping it now
I am clearing out the bad old blues with their tears
I could do without the discontent anyhow
Gonna leave it in the bad old sad old years
