SUMMER CAT

woke up one late summer day
found out my kitty had run away
she had taken her stuff and the car, cut the strings of my guitar
by now she's probably somewhere far

my summer cat
she won't come back
oh summer cat
now i'm so sad

no more sunny days of joy and play
no more sleeping together in the shade
i'm gonna miss all that fun, why oh why you had to run?
does this mean that summer is already gone?

did i treat you too rough?
or didn't i feed you enough?
why did my pretty summer time kitty wanna run away?

what i'm going to do
