A three minutes dose of old school game music with appropriate appreggions and saw waves.
Seven years have been passed since I made my previous SID tune. So, it was already time to create a new one. Sid Shuffle is a SID tune with a shuffling beat, hence the name. I composed this piece with the GoatTracker 2.70 program emulating the MOS 8580 SID chip. I chose the 8580 as it is known to follow the specs more rigorously than the 6581. I believe I could have tuned the piece also for the 6581 but the use of the filters would have been more unpredictable. For the ones unfamiliar with the genre: The SID sound chip was brought to homes as the sound source of the Commodore 64 and 128...
A rainy summer vacation inspired me to compose this nineties style dance piece.
Finally finished... I started this well in the year 2005, hence the name. This is a bunch of synthpop with eighties athmospehere.
A classically flavoured but pop stuctured relatively short score, still having some feeling in it.
A little bit impressionistic, perhaps jazz affected, partially improvized, quite a fragile piece of music... possibly beautifull too.
I like to play around with different tools. Thus, this time I decided to create a composition with the following ingredients: 486 + SB16: OPL3 FM -synthetizers and their mixing.
Athlon + Audigy2: Mixing of guitars, drum samples, cutting, pasting and mastering.
Worth of listeing even if this kind of
semi-retro-methods do not interest you. You don't propably notice them from the music.
Wow! I wouldn't have believed myself that I'll compose in 23rd of December between 9 pm - 0.30 am this kind of synthpop / spacesynth piece. You know, sometimes one can surprise oneself! ;)
A nicely running piece involving some quitar too. It was made in 6 hours of non-stop working. Keyboards, sequencing and mixing: Frondelius. Guitar: Mika Kokko. (P.S. Wait until the guitar solo before you give up!)
In the middle of the hurry in my studies I composed some latino styled stuff... Makes good for everyone ;)
When practising to use the Cubasis VST 4 CE, I did this groovy piece. You can propably hear that this project was more or less practising. I don't know to what genre this actually belongs to... (The file is partially corrupted. Sorry for the inconvenience.)
Saab Mähönen feat Frondelius - Something to Saab about. My dear friend Saab Mähönen came to visit me from Turku and we made this piece out of his ideas.
This is a technically modernized version of my SID composition "32 Degrees Of SID". Now, there is included eighties styled synths and some real guitar... The SID is still responsible for the melody leads but with some moderning effects.
FIRST A CAUTION; If you consider the old home computer music as a nerve burning sh*t, listen some other of my compositions. They are more mainstream compatible. Anyway, this was done with hard work... This is my first contribution to the SID genre. I have listened SID music every now and then since the mid-eighties and always loved those magical sounds. For those who are not familiar with the subject: SID is a sound chip used in Commodore 64 and 128 computers which in the eighties was revolutionary in the home computer music. However, SID music has gained new composers and listeners even as...
This is something I have never done before. This piece of music is something between old guitar music and twist with some blues flavour, I guess. Listen and wonder.
