In the beginning of 2001 drummer Sky (ex-Mac-11), bassist Joeri (ex-Bloodsessions) and guitarist Daan (ex-Motherfed) found each other after having different band-experiences elsewhere. They formed a new band and adopted the name CANCELLED. However, the band wasnt completed until vocalist Yoav (with his broad explored and all-round vocals he fits very well with the rest of the band) and second guitarist Robert were found after several jam sessions with different musicians. Their mutual goal is to create music from the heart and a sensational live performance. CANCELLEDs style is a mixture of melodic and heavier music. The bands members call it "Dynamic Trash Metal", which may be the term that best describes it. Their influences are coming from all kinds of music styles, which is why many people will be able to find themselves in it. In the beginning of November 2001 they recorded their first CDemo Plankton, which is produced by CANCELLED and Daan van der Elsken. Until now the response on the CDemo has been highly positive, so this 5-some from Amsterdam is heading towards a successful future.
