The story of a band called The Anima began with a group of 4 skillful, experienced, finnish rock musicians making songs in Helsinki. The name Anima was taken for the friendly bad-ass group in the spring of 2005 when that group of 4 joined with a vocalist Matias.
Anima stands for spirit in the latin language and it has various different meanings in multiple languages. It combines in a suitable way the romantic lot of songs but also has a mystical meaning that is an interest of all the players.
